Pakistan is one of the youngest nations in the world, with over 64% of its population under the age of 30 and nearly 40% below 15 years. This demographic dividend represents either an unprecedented economic opportunity or a lost advantage. The difference depends on how early we equip our children with productive, entrepreneurial skills.
The Pakistan Economic Research & Training Centre (PERTC) is launching the most advanced and structured Kidspreurship & Youth Empowerment Program nationwide, designed for students from Grade 3 to Grade 12. The initiative integrates age-specific entrepreneurship modules, online certifications, project-based innovation challenges, Kids Expo showcases, Kids E-Budget Bazaar, and Kids KAAAM Online — a supervised digital marketplace enabling students to monetize creativity responsibly.
The economic potential is substantial. If even 5% of participating students establish micro-ventures, Pakistan could witness the creation of thousands of youth-led enterprises within five years. With global e-commerce projected to surpass $8 trillion by 2027, early exposure to digital trade, branding, and cross-border commerce positions Pakistani youth to compete internationally.
Strategically, collaboration with China — the world’s largest manufacturing economy — provides access to scalable production ecosystems. By promoting “Made in Pakistan” and Pakistan-China co-branded products, students can learn supply chain integration, digital marketing, and export fundamentals at an early age.
This initiative is not merely an educational enhancement; it is a national economic framework. Empowering children with entrepreneurial competence today ensures Pakistan builds innovators, exporters, and global brand creators tomorrow.
